About KV No.2, Darbhanga
Keeping in view of the earnest need of the people of Dharbhanga, the then Hon’ble MOS, Govt. of India opened Kendriya Vidyalaya in Darbhanga Town.
Due to the keen interest and initiation by the then MOS, the proposal for opening of this Vidyalaya emerged. Boy’s hostel of ITI was offered by the District Administration to run the Vidyalaya. Dr. U. N. Singh, then Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Patna Region approved the boys hostel for opening New Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Presently the Vidyalaya is accommodated at the Air Force Station, Darbhanga and temporarily utilizing the school building and resources of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, AFS, Darbhanga.
